Java/C++ Senior Developer (Java, C++, Front Office, Windows, Linux, Sybase, DB2)-Tokyo-Circa 14,000,000 JPY + Significant bonus package
One of the worlds leading global financial service firms within investment banking is looking for a Senior Java/C++ developer to join their hugely reputable and ever expanding FICC Sales front office team.
The team develops real-time analytical and trade management systems across Asia and directly supports trading desks.
This role provides the potential to develop into a Team Lead role in the near future and allows the successful candidate to contribute to their development of their next generation architecture.
Skills:
-Java and/or C++,
-Windows and Unix,
-Strong object-oriented design,
-Sybase/DB2.
Responsibilities for:
-Interfacing directly with Sales and Traders to understand their needs,
-Lead the building of next generation latest and greatest technology,
-Learn the FICC business,
-Participate in the full project life cycle,
-Perform analysis, development and maintenance of production apps across Asia.
The person:
-Excellent teamwork, communication and presentation skills.
-Extensive investment banking experience, familiarity with financial products, and with a proven track record of learning new businesses quickly.
-Experience of global development teams.
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
-Responsive with an attention to details.
-Japanese language ability is highly desirable.
Primarily, an exceptional technologist in Java and/or C++ is of most importance to the candidate.
The Sales Technology team has a mandate to focus exclusively on the priorities of the sales desks.
